Desert Moonrise

$350.00
SOLD

A3 Original • 11.7 x 16.5 inches (29.7 x 42 cm), Ink on Paper

The landscape reveals itself by the light of a glistening silver moon that rises over the canyon, lending its brightness to the winding river and the sediment layers that separate this era from those past. The land appears still but for a lone coyote that calls out to the night, and a snake who’s braved the open floor from its crevice at the base of this plateau’s cactus outlook in order to shed its skin. And the stars themselves are in movement, for this isn’t a single moment but a whole night’s gaze into the dark and wondrous dance of the desert.
